Tourists who want to do some recreational activities at the beach should look out for high surfing condition. The water at the beach has dangerous animals such as Portuguese Man of War, stinging limu and etc.
Hukilau Beach Park is famous for the Hukilau festival. In the Hawaiian language, huki is translated as pull while lau is translated as net. During the Hukilau festival, the local people will assemble together to pull the fishing nets. The festival was celebrated from the 1940s – 1970s. You can visit the beach to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
