Why Move to Hawi - Hawi Real Estate Tips

Hawi is the largest town in the north of Kohala. It is a charming own with several art galleries and restaurants. The Kona Airport is located 5 miles from the town of Hawi. Hawi is situated about 75 miles from Hilo and 20 miles from the Mountain Road scenic highway. Hawi used to be a thriving town. After the sugar plantations closed down, the town has lesser activities. Nowadays, many retirees like to go and live in Hawi. Many people also move to neighboring towns such as Kapaau and Makapala because they want to live a quieter lifestyle.

At Hawi, you will find all kinds of jewelry and crafts. You can also buy authentic Kona coffee in Hawi. The most well known restaurant in Hawi is the Bamboo Restaurant & Gallery. The annual bicycle competition, Ironman World Championship is held in Hawi on every October. There is also a grocery store and post office in Hawi. If you want to relax at the beach, you can visit the black sand beach at Pololu Valley. The white sand beach is situated about 25 minutes away from Mauna Kea Resort. You will be able to carry out recreational activities such as kayaking, fishing and whale watching. You can watch whales from January to March. The Farmers Market is held near the Banyan Tree every Saturday.

If you are fascinated with the peaceful lifestyle at Hawi, you can buy one of the real estate properties there and settle down. You need to get help from a real estate agent if you want to find a house that suit your family needs. You can tell the a real estate agent about the criteria for the house which you want to buy for example the number of rooms, type of house, square foot of house and etc. You can bring your pets to Hawi but there are a few procedures you need to follow. Besides, you should bring all the personal documents such as family records, passports, and insurance.

It can be a bit frightening for kids to move with the family to a completely new environment such as Hawaii. You should not get rid of all your child’s favorite items. You should ask for their permissions before throwing them away. You can introduce to them about the new area by showing them photos of the new house and school. You can also ask the teachers from the new schools to call your children.
