Moiliili is a small and culturally diverse community that is comprised of friendly neighbors who place a high value on community projects, which are conducted all year round. Back at the start of development, the region housed a number of people of different ethnicities, which is why today there are so many different shops, restaurants and services available to locals with a diverse aspect to them. There are still a number of different people in the community from different cultural backgrounds, which is helped along by the number of students moving to the area to go to the University of Hawaii at Manoa, which is on the border of the town.
