Real Estate in Kapalua 

The Kapalua Resort is a luxurious community that is located west of the Maui Mountains. This is premier real estate at its best, with the renowned championship golf courses of Plantation, Bay, and Village. The 1600 acres of beautiful surroundings and white sandy beaches makes Kapalua Resort one of the most desirable locations, offering luxurious accommodations as well. A gated and luxurious community called West Maui homes and Kapalua oceanfront condos have access to prime amenities.  

One of the most important events is the Kapalua Wine Food Festival, which is celebrated in the month of June and lasts for four days. This is a gastronomic and wine connoisseur affair featuring specialty chefs, world-known winemakers, and top masters in this area. An evening gala event - the Grand Tasting - highlights some of the most important events, as well as a seafood festival, and much more. 

A festival (Whale Quest kapalua) in February is dedicated to the Humpback whales, which come home for the winter. This is an educational affair, which include seminars, exhibitions, whale watching tours, and even golf tournaments.

Kapalua Travel Guide

Kapalua is a town with rich history background. The local people have passed down many stories about the town orally. The name Kapalua refers to embracing the sea. The first group of Hawaiians that came to settle at Kapalua is by sea. They called it Kapalua because it has a curved coast. The land was originally divided into different sections according to their customs. The people cultivated the fields and earned their living by planting taro. Taro is used as staple food for the first settlers. In addition, the people also caught fishes in the sea to cook as food. The land and all other resources on Kapalua are treated with respect. This is because the people believe that their gods provide them.

Later, Kapalua became occupied with people. More and more people came to live with the local Hawaiians. All kinds of people have come to live in the town throughout the years including royalty family members, artists, musicians and poets. The English missionary named Dwight Baldwin used to possess about 2,675 acres of land. The holdings expanded until they develop into the Honolua Ranch. Honolua Ranch was eventually converted into a pineapple plantation. Many economic activities can be found in the Kapalua town. Hotels and resorts can also be found in the town.

Kapalua offers one of the best beaches in Maui County. There are three popular beaches in Kapalua including Kapalua Bay, Kapalua Beach, D. T. Flemming Beach and Oneloa Beach. Kapalua Beach offers picturesque scenery of Lanai and Molokai islands. The beach is protected from the strong current by the natural lava coves. The D. T. Flemming Beach offers many beautiful sights and delicious food. At the D. T. Flemming Beach, there is a Beach House that offers grill food. Oneloa Beach is a tropical paradise. If you want to enjoy privacy at the beach, you can visit the Oneloa Beach.

There are about 467 people living in Maui County. Most of the lands in Kapalua are low. The people that live in Kapalua have diverse backgrounds. Some of the different types of people that live in Kapalua are American, Hispanic, European, Hawaiian, and Asian. The mix of people with different racial backgrounds enables both traditional and contemporary customs to be practiced in the area. It is near to Kaanapali and Napili beaches. Many shops, hotels and fruit plantations can also be found in Kapalua.
