This is a very tropical and lush green area on the east of Maui with a small coastal community, just outside Keanae and Hana towns. What makes the place are the beautiful surroundings and scenic views, as well as the paradise feel that the misty rainforests offer. Guide to Nahiku 

Nahiku is a small village located in the north cost of East Maui. Many years ago, it was a thriving town with large population. Today, it has a population of lesser than 100 people. Most of the residents that live in Nahiku are wealthy. There are also residents that work for part time jobs. It was named after the constellation Pleiades. It is the site of the headquarter of Nahiku Rubber Company. Nahiku Rubber Company is a commercial rubber plantation in the United States. If you visit Nahiku, you will be able to see the rubber trees lining at the road. The best-known cafeteria in Nahiku is the Nahiku coffee shop. There is a smoked fish stand where many tourists like to purchase smoked fish. Besides, tourists can also visit the art gallery in Nahiku.

There are plenty of activities to carry out at Nahiku. Nahiku has a famous highway called Nahiku Road is continued from the end of the Hana Highway. If you keep on traveling on the Nahiku Road, you will reach the Pacific Ocean. The local people at Nahiku are friendly. The surrounding area of Nahiku is rich with lush greeneries. Some of the tourist attractions you can visit at Nahiku include Nahiku Landing, Red Sands Beach, Hana V, and Rocky Beach. The Nahiku Landing is a short distance away from the Nahiku Tree house. If you turn right at the Lower Nahiku Road, you will come to a church. As you walk to the Nahiku tree house, you can enjoy the picturesque scenery. If you are an adventurous person, you can hire the local guide to take you to spectacular places in Nahiku. The Red Sands Beach is situated in Hana, which are a few miles away from Nahiku.

Another nearby beach in Hana is the Hamoa Beach. Red Sands Beach is a remote beach surrounded by volcano scenery. It is called Red Sands Beach because the sand on the shore is red in color. The volcanic reef prevents the beach from having large waves. With the protection of the volcanic reef, visitors can dive into the beach and snorkel. You can swim in the reef area and watch schools of tropical fishes. Hamoa Beach is a sandy and pristine beach that receives a substantial amount of waves. It is a great beach for people who want to perform activities such as body surfing, and boogie boarding.
