Kalapaki Beach in Kauai

Kalapaki Beach is a crescent shaped beach located near the Kauai Marriott Resort. The bay covers an area of more than 40 acres. Many marine wildlife can be found under the water of the lagoon. Rocky walls can be seen around the lagoon. The Menehune established the rocky walls a long time ago.

Kalapaki Beach is famous as a swimming and sailing destination. It is suitable for carrying all kinds of recreational activities including sunbathing, volleyball and etc. If you want, you can build sand castles on the shore. The shore of the beach will gently slope. It is partially protected from the bad ocean condition. You can find all kinds of rental facilities near to Kalapaki Beach including sailboat rental store, catamaran cruises and etc. The picnic area is situated near to the Nawilwili Park. Most of the facilities are found near the Anchor Cover Shopping Center.

The Hoary Head Mountains can be seen near the Kalapaki Beach. The tallest mountain peak, Ha’upu Peak, is approximately 2000 feet above the sea level. You can learn how to surf by participating in surfing lessons. If you want to explore Kauai, you can rent a boat. There are several types of boats you can rent at the rental centers including catamaran, kayak, and sailboat. You can launch the kayak at the Kalapaki Beach harbor. As you row your kayak, you will pass by jungles, fields, and swamps. You will be able to watch native Hawaiian birds on Kalapaki Beach including stilts and coots. There are lots of beachfront shops. If you have nothing to do at the beach, you can browse the stuffs at the beachfront shops. You can also go and have a meal at the beachfront restaurant. You will find Hawaiian and Oriental beachfront restaurants. There are also a few American cuisine restaurants. If you travel to Kalapaki Beach by car, you can park your car at the Kalapaki Beach Kauai.

Nearby Kalapaki Beach, you will find the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club. The Kauai golf course is located across from the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club. Robert Trent Jones designed both Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club and the golf courses. Many spectacular landscapes can be found at these two golf courses. Hotels and other types of accommodations can be found in the surrounding region of Kalapaki Beach.
