Freedom and Individuality

Renting often limits the creativity you can put into your home for the pure fact that you don't own it. If you are renting you often need the owners permission to do anything including painting, adding additions on, or any other type of remodeling. Permission to make certain types of improvements or Its really not a wise investment for individuals to spend hundreds or even thousands of their own money to invest into changing window coverings, tile or carpet when the only one who benefits in the end will be the landlord, not you.

Most landlords will keep their costs to as minimal as possible so you can bet they aren't going to be investing much toward home repairs unless its something that is crucial including electric or plumbing. Even then they will do as little as possible to fix the problem with as little of out of pocket money as they can.

However, as a homeowner you do as you please to your own property without restrictions. When adding on, remodeling or improving a house that you already own the person who receives full benefits will be you. All your hard work and money is actually being useful and not free money handed over to someone who's not going to appreciate it. You have the ability to create the atmosphere and living arrangements that's right for you and your family.

Both outdoors and indoors, you will more than likely have tons more space to work with. Even if you where to move into condominium from a fairly sized apartment, you will find that you have more flexibility including your personal laundry room and more storage areas. Owners who choose to build apartment complexes interest usually revolves around creating large numbers of income-producing units than the comfort and space of their future tenants.

For those who are first time home buyers most have a positive outlook in the end when comparing their renting days to now being a homeowner.
