When an individual has decided its time to move on and plan on putting their house on the market they will start by interviewing different real estate agents to help them along the way. They need someone who will not only represent them but also be efficient and effective at marketing their home.
However, when an individual is ready to buy a home they often find their realtor by pure accident. Why is it that home buyers don't search for a realtor as a seller would?
This is due to the way buyers go about contacting agents. Normally a buyer and realtor come in contact through an advertisement. Most buyers search the Internet magazines, and local newspapers for property sells or open houses. Once they find a home that interests them they will contact the realtor for more information or a showing.
This is another significant different between buying and selling a home. The seller often selects who they use after several interviews and becoming comfortable and confident that one agent and/or company is right for them. Rarely do you see a buyer contact real estate companies in order to find a certain agent. If the buyer is unhappy with the first house they will just continue searching with the agent that originally showed them the property.
Searching for the right home in the perfect place? Chances are you'll want to check here first.
