Real Estate in Princeville

Princeville is where you will find all of the resorts on Kauai's North Shore. The area offers impressive views of the ocean in addition to some spectacular mountain views. The best time to see these views is during sunset, when the sky is transitioning from blue, to orange to black.

There are many condominiums available for rent or purchase here, as well as resort hotels, spas, golf courses, shopping centers, restaurants and of course, the stunning sunsets.

Princeville was "founded" in 1853 when R.C. Wyllie created a coffee plantation in the area. The plantation inevitably failed, but regardless, Princeville is the largest area in the entire Kauai region. The area is home to some of Hawaii's finest resorts, restaurants, gold courses and hotels. There are also three world renowned beaches found in the area, they are the Pu'u Poa, Kaweonui and Kenomene, respectively. There is also a coral reef found just offshore which makes for excellent scuba diving and snorkeling.

The climate in Princeville can be very irregular at times, but tourists still flock to the location anyway. Princeville is named after King Kamehameha IV, who coined the term because of the coffee plantation that was growing in the area.

Princeville Travel Guide

Princeville is a beautiful town with many tourist attractions to visit. It is located on the north side of the Kauai Island, Hawaii. It covers an area of 9,000 acres. The town was named after the son of King Kamehameha IV. It was named after Prince Albert Kamehameha when he paid a visit in 1860. After that, the land came under the ownership of Robert Crichton Wyllie. Initially, the land was used as a farm for coffee plantation. However, it isn’t suitable to plant coffee in the land due to the wet weather. Later, it was converted into a sugar plantation. Later, the nephew of Wyllie inherited it.
