Princeville has a rich history. Before 1968, Princeville was a cattle ranch. At some point, it was used as a sugar plantation. Then, was later converted to a resort community. The name Princeville comes from Prince Albert Kamechameha, who was the son of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha the fourth.
