Hawaii's Professional and Vocational Licensing Division claims that the individuals applying for licenses must be honest, truthful, have financial integrity, and be fair when dealing with customers or clients.
Applying for and passing the examination will not help you if you have not already obtained the certificate from the pre-license course that is mandatory in Hawaii. The certificate earned from this course must be presented when applying or completed and submitted two years, at the most, after the completion of the course. If you meet set levels of equivalency there is a possibility that you can avoid having to take the pre-license course. However, equivalency can mean several things in Hawaii like having a real estate license in another state for at least one year prior to moving and applying in Hawaii. You could also by-pass the course by having a Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor of Science degree from any accredited college, especially if the major was Real Estate.
The exam that is issued by PSI Exams are all computerized tests. There is a small fee of sixty three dollars in order to take the exam. Like most exams they ask you to bring in two forms of identification along with your pre-license certificate or equivalency of it. They require you to pass at least seventy percent or better of the questions and there are eighty national with fifty Hawaii specific real estate questions.
