钻石山房地产（Diamond Head）：檀香山市中心的休闲寓所
钻石山附近环绕着与夏威夷群岛东南岸欧胡岛同名的著名地标--火山凝灰岩。有趣的是，檀香山市是美国边界内有火山的四个城市之一。由于钻石山代表着欧胡岛的地理特征，拥有着风景秀丽的海岸线，并且紧挨着檀香山的市中心，这里是买主梦寐以求的街区，以至于这里的地价非常昂贵。
钻石山上大多数的房子都是独栋单户别墅，买主在这片发展已十分完善的地区很难找到其他的户型。这个地段由丰厚的中产阶级居民和祖祖辈辈都住在这里、有着祖传房子的“老一辈”居民组成。由于这些原因，这里在市面上出售的房产较少，因而这个街区非常安全、安静并且适合家庭生活。
想在这里买一栋老宅的买家可能会认为这里的房价是天价：上年头的独栋别墅最低也要七十五万美金起，这些“最便宜的”老房子一般都是50年代到60年代建设的，并且仍旧保持着当时的内部装潢，没有重新装修过，占地面积仅有4000至6000平方英尺，使用面积仅有1100至1600平方英尺。但是综合考虑下来，这里的房子实际上拥有较高的性价比。。尽管这里的房子有一定历史，但由于它非常好的地理位置、毗邻学区，以及十分安全的环境，买主和附近的居民十分喜欢这个地段。居住在钻石山，在檀香山市中心上班的居民，每天上下班的通勤时间仅有15至20分钟；如果不堵车，时间会更短。这里距离几所有名的大学也很近，包括夏威夷大学、夏威夷太平洋大学和Chaminade大学。此外，以烹饪专业而著名的Kapiolani社区大学也坐落在这里。
钻石山上的房子距离威基基和凯海兰都很近，威基基大街就在钻石山的北侧，那里坐落着很多的商场和餐厅。只需要仅仅5至10分钟的车程，您就可以抵达凯海兰购物中心，或者Ala Moana购物中心。
