Hawaiian Fishponds of Molokai were built during the 13th centuries. They are more than 60 ancient fishponds in Hawaiian Fishponds of Molokai. Lava boulders are used to form the semi circular wall. The people used to lava boulders to prevent the fish from swimming out into the sea. In the ancient times, the people rear fishes in the pond to cook meals for the royal Hawaiian chiefs.
Kalaupapa National Historical Park is located below a 1600 sea cliff. The park was originally developed in 1980. The park was developed to commemorate the charity of Father Damien. It used to be a place where the isolated victims of leprosy disease patients stayed. The park covers an area of over 8.725 acres. The Kalaupapa settlements and Kalawo settlements can be found at the national park. Besides, you can find a volcano crater and lava tubes at the park. If you want to visit the park, you have to participate in the Damien Tours. Besides, you can also take a mule ride through the Molokai Mule Ride tour to reach the Kalaupapa National Park.
