Kuau is a small beach community, which comprises mostly luxury beach homes and plantation homes, as well as beachfront condos. You can take a free tour around the Mama’s Fish House restaurant at 10:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m.
At Ulupalakua Ranch, there is a restaurant as well. If you want to travel to Ulupalakua Ranch, you can rent a car. While at Ulupalakua Ranch, you can use your camera to take photos of the scenery. Nearby Kuau, there are a lot of surfing spots. Hookipa Beach is a popular beach located about 10 minutes from Kuau. Another beach located nearby to Kuau is the Jaws Beach. Jaws Beach is well known for two ocean activities including kite surfing and windsurfing. Jaws Beach is situated about 8 minutes away from the destination. Before entering into the water, it is recommended that you ask the local people about the weather condition of the lagoons.
The Halaekala National Park is situated near to Kuau. The park has a beautiful landscape including lush coastal area and volcano. If you want to visit the Haleakala National Park, you should make an arrangement with the National Park Service. You can visit the summit, coastal and jungle in the Haleakala National Park. There are several activities you can carry out at the Haleakala National Park. For example, you can take a hiking trip to the Ka Luu o Ka Oo. The Ka Luu o Ka Oo is situated on the summit of the Haleakala Park. If you want to explore the art, you can visit the art galleries in Paia. You can also travel to Makawao to explore the cowboy storefront architecture styles. There are also a few art galleries at Kahului.
Kuau has a thriving real estate community. Most of the houses are located on the perimeter of Paia. Kuau is actually an extension to the old Paia town. In the real estate community, you will find old plantation properties as well as high-end properties. At Kuau Bay View, you will find condominiums.
