There will always be sides to ever sale that takes place. The two sides are known as the selling side and the listing side. Most individuals who are selling a home or buying will hire someone to represent them through the entire process so with that being said you can always assume there will be representatives for both parties involved. The buyer will be represented by a selling agent while the seller will be advised by the listing agent. While agents may deal with both sellers and buyers, they tend to focus only on one individual at a time. Realtors can have the preference dealing with both in their practice or to exclusively to deal with only sellers or buyers.
So which should you choose in the event of buying or selling your home?
Don't accept the first realtor that you meet. Before deciding on who to use try visiting and interviewing several from different areas. Make sure to ask about their prior experience, any schooling, and go by how they make you feel. Are you comfortable with them? Are they answering your questions to your satisfaction or are they just breezing through them with minimal amount of response as possible?
Buying a house is one of the biggest purchases that you will probably ever purchase in your lifetime so you want to make sure your doing the right thing. You want to have someone who will help you along the process and make sure the decisions you are making are wise ones.
So should you choose your agent or should they choose you, by accident?
